Creating Wave Art through Intentional Camera Movement and Long Exposure – Each photograph is truly unique!

For most of our photographic journey we are taught to use a tripod and be mindful of our shutter speed to minimize blur and produce sharp photographs. This is your chance to be a photography rebel. We will create stunning abstract art from photographing waves at one of Rhode Island’s famous beaches. We will experiment with Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) to blur the waves and water motion resulting in some ethereal photographs. We will also explore how shutter speed can be used to create some special effects from the natural movement of waves and wind.
