The beaches on the bay side of the Cape offer an amazing opportunity to shoot sunset and blue hour on the largest section tidal flats in North America

From sand formations to beached boats to sunset with "clam trees", this is a one-of-a-kind venue. Over five hours, we will tour three of the bay side beaches during low tide and magic hour and conclude the evening shooting through the blue hour at Nauset Lighthouse.

  • Waterproof boots for walking in shallow water

  • Bug repellent

  • Headlamp for night time walking

Physical Difficulty

Standing and walking on a combination of surfaces, including sand, pavement, and gravel is normal and wading through knee deep water is an option.

The meeting location is Rock Harbor parking lot on the Orleans side. Please meet in the parking lot at Rock Harbor Beach at the end of Bay View Drive with GPS coordinates of 41.799739, -70.007927

Itinerary

An itinerary and workshop details will be sent to you before the workshop. Actual shoot stops will depend on the weather. A rough itinerary is as follows:
