The full moon only rises over Newport from Fort Adams State Park in the late fall. It is also a perfect location to shoot sunset images of the Newport Bridge and is a quick drive to one of Rhode Island's most photogenic lighthouses.

  • Telephoto Lens (200mm or longer)

Physical Difficulty

A little bit of walking to get to the lighthouse and sure-footedness needed to navigate a rocky cliff, but otherwise very easy.

Meet at the last parking lot in Fort Adams State Park at 3PM.
