I joined BlueHour in the Canadian Rockies. I found Paul & Allie’s energy and love for photography contagious! Both are very knowledgeable, so if you are hesitant because of skill level or camera equipment, don’t be! They were helpful with my sister who had a point and shoot, she got great shots! The Itinerary was well thought out. The pace was great and the scenery was BEYOND gorgeous!! I can’t wait to join them on another adventure!!

PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY

Standing and walking on a combination of paved surfaces and gravel trails with steps and varying levels of steepness. Moraine Lake requires a very short, uphill hike to the viewpoint. Our stop at the Columbia Icefields has a short walk onto the glacier. Some optional paths at Peyto lake have steeper pitches on paved surfaces, and Maligne Canyon has some steeper pitches on gravel trails.

Sunrise & Sunset

Because this is a photo tour, the priority of this trip will be focused on making the best photographs you can possibly make. This means we’ve structured the itinerary to coincide with the best lighting, i.e., sunrise or sunset shooting. For this tour and time of year, sunrise is around 6:15 AM and sunset is around 9:15 PM. If we choose to shoot at sunrise, we will be eating breakfast after the shoot.
