Join us at old North Bridge for this workshop on natural and classic portraiture
Allie and Erik Gehring will lead the group in wandering around the Old North Bridge in Concord, a location that offers space and a variety of backdrops for any portrait shoot. This workshop features a male and female model so we can practice different kinds of portraits with ease. Bring along any camera equipment you have, however a dedicated "portrait lens" is preferable for anyone who wants to practice portraiture regularly.
Erik Gehring is the recently retired President of the Boston Camera Club and a freelance photographer who specializes in natural landscapes. He lives in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston with his wife Julie and sons Carl and William.
Erik’s work has appeared in Yankee Magazine, the Boston Globe, the Boston Metro, the Cape Cod Times, Northern Woodlands, E the Environmental Magazine, AMC’s Outdoors, and other publications. He has shown his fine art prints at galleries throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
Erik also has lectured and taught classes at the Arnold Arboretum, the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, the Eliot School in Jamaica Plain, the Concord Art Association, the Hyde Park Art Association, and many different camera clubs throughout the area.
