I have been on many photo tours and classes with different companies. Paul & Allie are by far the most helpful and attentive of all. This dynamic duo takes the time to work with each participant on settings, composition, etc to get the best shot. You will leave knowing you learned from the best.

Average CLimate

In April, the desert is cold at night and warm during the day. Bring sunscreen and breathable clothing.
Temperatures range in the 30s F at night and 60-70s F during the day.

Physical Difficulty

This trip requires leisurely walking over desert and sandy terrain in most areas. If you opt to do any hiking during free shooting, please be aware of your limits. We will be spending one day in Bryce Canyon National Park, which if you wish, can descend the canyon. It is difficult coming back up the many switchbacks (but is worth it). Hiking is not required on this tour. Some areas are paved, some are not. Utah can be hot during the day, and chilly to cold in the evening. We will be at high elevations and shoot locations may be extremely windy.

Because this is a photo tour, the priority of this trip will be focused on making the best photographs you can possibly make. This means we’ve structured the itinerary to coincide with the best lighting, i.e., sunrise or sunset shooting. For this tour and time of year, both sunrise and sunset is around 7 AM and 8 PM respectively. We likely will be eating dinners later than you are used to.
